Native to Northern Michigan, I am proud to be established with 11 years of Traverse City wedding photography experience.
I grew up playing in the woods, biking to nearby lakes, and foraging for wild berries that surrounded my childhood home. I am grateful to be a Michigander, which taught me to value the outdoors. It’s exciting to me to explore the seasonal delights as they come and go, and now to share these special places with locals and vacationers alike, my love for my home state has only grown. With 29 years of local insight, I’m happy to share the most grand locations, or somewhere off-the-beaten path.
With a camera in my hands is when you’ll see me as my happiest self.
After all, the 10 year old girl who dreamed of owning a camera, is now living her adult dream.
My approach as your Traverse City Photographer.
With an emphasis on our natural and evolving settings, In my photographs I will often immerse my clients in plants, shrubs, trees, water, and flowers. I also like to take a step back so I can capture the breathtaking landscapes we are exploring. It’s fun for me, getting diverse and creative shots. From the springtime blossoms, to the autumn colors, my photoshoots are always unique. My posing is candid and playful. Don’t worry though, I’ll still get those typical smile-at-the-camera shots too.
With true-to-life color editing, I pride myself on capturing moody skies, vibrant sunsets, and all the rich colors of your day.
While I am a Traverse City based photographer and spend May – October in my home state, I travel the other half of every year.
November – April you can catch me wandering. I often travel west to the Arizona desert, or south to Florida. I’m quick to agree to travel to international destinations for fun and to capture adventurous sessions. I am blessed to have set up a lifestyle that allows me to skip winter in the midwest. I arrange my travel schedule around the winter gigs I agreed to travel for. There’s no doubt about it, combining my love for travel and photography fuels me creatively more than I can express.
