Blue Bridge Event Center | Claire + Matt's Early Autumn Wedding
Claire and Matt had me capture their engagement photos last year on Old Mission Peninsula in preparation for their wedding at Blue Bridge Event Center. After getting to know them in advance, we kept up online and I was excitedly looking forward to their celebration. Claire sent me photos of dresses she was deciding between and I was happy to offer my input from a photographer/friends perspective. I actually got to develop a relationship with Claire and Matt, getting to know their true personalities leading up to their autumn wedding at Blue Bridge.
The day of their event, it rained on and off but nothing too heavy. Thankfully, the drizzle let up for some sun to poke through just as their ceremony started. Matt gasped at first sight of Claire and couldn’t contain his smiling throughout the ceremony. Matt said his sweet vows with Claire. Claire professed her love to Matt, following up with a dad joke which got everyone laughing. They said, “I do,” and sealed it with a kiss.
As summer has ended, sunsets now come earlier in the day. Right after the ceremony and family photos, Matt, Claire, and I snuck away for a quick sunset adventure. Their chariot was waiting, a gold cart with someone from Blue Bridge to escort us around the grounds for photos. We went down to the lake for a view, then headed back up the hill to a really cool forested area. We were brought back just in time for their Grand Entrance.
Matt and Claire enjoyed a meal with their friends and family. Often bells were rung for kisses, and their closest friends shared heartfelt speeches. A prayer was said, and then dinner was served.
When most of the dinner plates were cleared, these two opened up the dance floor with their first dance, and then a live band: The Wild Sully’s carried the night away. The Blue Bridge event center was perfect for their ceremony, and reception. With a great combination of nature, yet coverage from the rain. Even when I said goodbye for the night, the dance floor was still jumping with excitement.
