A flowery greenhouse wedding in Battle Creek, Michigan.

This was my first time at Green Gardens Community Farm in Battle Creek, Michigan. I made the drive down from Traverse City to photograph Ashley and Brant’s wedding. I had my expectations of what a greenhouse wedding might be like, Green Gardens Community Farm did not disappoint. Green Gardens Community Farm is a real working production farm with a unique greenhouse event space for weddings, while the other greenhouses are dedicated to growing fresh food and flowers. It was a unique experience to celebrate a wedding on an environmentally friendly and sustainable farm. With the addition of even more flowers throughout the venue as a more personal touch to the couple it was amazing to see everything come together. I could see the care that was put into decorating this already beautiful venue for Ashley and Brant’s celebration. Additions included a swinging tree that was flowered, flowers that lined every single table, yard games, a s’more table, cigars to share. The most impressive addition was the 10×20 foot “flower wall” in the back of the greenhouse.

Their ceremony was in an open sunny spot with an arch to be married in front of and chairs for their closest friends and family to sit. The pastor was not new to leading the wedding but it was special being the one to conduct the act for his son and now daughter-in-law. Ashley said, “yes,” to a lifetime together with Brant. They proceeded to celebrate their union surrounded by some of the most important people in their lives. Everything photographed nicely and I was so excited to share the final gallery with the couple and their now conjoined families.
