Marissa and Brendan are two adventurers who love spending time outdoors, a Jeep photoshoot was suiting for this session.

After their proposal, Marissa and Brendan knew they wanted to incorporate their love of beach sunsets with a Jeep photoshoot. They did drive up from downstate in their white Jeep Wrangler with a hope that we could find a location overlooking the water to park it for their “Date Night Jeep Photoshoot.”

I’m a seasoned Northern Michigan engagement photographer. I know the best spots to match your vision, and how to get the best lighting for your session. Marissa and Brendan really wanted to have a Jeep photoshoot incorporated with their beach session. It reminded them of all the adventures they shared in this vehicle.

Lake Michigan Jeep PhotoshootI scouted and found the perfect location with Lake Michigan in the background. We met a little earlier than originally planned with an overcast day forecasted, but still we got a vibrant evening. We started the photoshoot with some shots of Marissa and Brendan hanging out the back of their Jeep. Some wine was shared before we explored the lakeshore.Jeep photoshoot

Sleeping Bear Dunes FlowersAs the sun began to glow with sunset, we headed down to the beach to capture some more natural and candid photos. The overcast sky created a soft, diffused light that was perfect for photography. I was excitedly capturing Marissa and Brendan walking hand-in-hand, playing in the sand, exploring the small beach dunes, and ending the night in Lake Michigan. This evening in Sleeping Bear Dunes was surreal, it left me questioning if I was dreaming.

Lake Michigan photographerThe Jeep photoshoot was a great way to incorporate Marissa and Brendan’s love of the outdoors into their engagement photos. It was also a lot of fun to see them so happy and carefree. I’m so glad I could capture this special moment for them.
