Blake +Brookes Intimate Wedding on the Grand Traverse Bay

I am so fortunate to be a Leelanau wedding photographer. Leelanau boasts having the second-highest proportion of water area compared to any other counties in the United States. Blake and Brooke decided to host a small gathering at their family’s private lake house in Northern Michigan. They set up come chairs and walked down the lawn’s beautifully manicured path for their ceremony. There was a docked boat spectating the event. From the water, the spectators cheered with the family for Blake and Brooke’s first kiss. After sealing the vows they shared with a kiss, they hung out with their closest friends and family.

The couple shared drinks, and hors d’oeuvres with their guests. A solo acoustic guitarist won the crowd over with his live serenade. The kids played in the water, other family members lounged in the lawn furniture. It didn’t take long until the smell of dinner lured everyone to their seats for toasts.

Her family helped decorate the tables simply with a tulle runner, cups of water, plates, silverware, and napkins. The decor was complimented by a meal prepared by a private chef: Amore Comida.

The family gathered over a nutritious home cooked meal. The tables were buzzing with excitement. It was apparent, the love this group had for one another. Their intimate backyard celebration was exactly where I would want to be on a hot summer day in Northern Michigan.
