Tom and Katie didn’t want to have a big wedding.

Instead, these two had an intimate summer ceremony at the Maritime Museum Beach. They gathered their family on a sunny day at Sleeping Bear Dunes. Securing a permit was easy for the Maritime Museum Beach, being one of the choices from the park’s approved list of locations to host a ceremony. I loved the simplicity of their day. They started with a first look and photoshoot at Sleeping Bear Point Trail. Then we drove just down the road for their ceremony at the Maritime Museum. They said their vows, then visited with family under the warm Michigan sun. After 3 hours with me, we parted ways, the night ended for them with a fancy dinner at Blu in Glen Arbor. While the whole wedding was low key, there was a whole ‘lotta love going around and everyone was happy to be together. I’m glad I got to capture Tom and Katie’s special beach elopement.
