A Golden Sunrise | Northern Michigan Senior Photographer

There’s something magical about sunrise as a Northern Michigan senior photographer. For this senior photo session, nature gave us a perfect gift. Despite a prediction of clouds, sunrise was golden and glowing, wrapping everything in soft, dreamy light. Sunrise means fewer people, gentle light, and moments that feel untouched by the world. This session was no exception.

Lidia had inspiration of a “Sunny Earthen Session” which is why we chose this spot on the Manistee River. We had scheduled it just in time to capture the forests flourishing back to life. What you can’t hear through these photos, is the hundreds of birds chirping, as if welcoming spring. The energy was calm yet full of life as the landscape started to flourish after a harsh winter. It’s one of those moments that reminds me why I love what I do.Senior sessions in Northern Michigan offer more than just pretty backdrops. They capture feeling. Whether it’s on the lakeshore, in the forest, or at sunrise down by the river, each location tells its own story.
